About Me

Sarah Canaway

I am a British Gymnastics Affiliated Club Coach with 19 years coaching experience, I am also a qualified Physiotherapist and have worked for over 10 years in the NHS. My passion for both has made me want to bring the benefits of gymnastics: strength, agility, flexibility, balance, coordination, fine and gross motor skills to children, whilst building confidence, friendships and encouraging a healthy lifestyle from a young age in a fun and inviting environment where parents/carers will be encouraged to join in with their children…The more involved the better…children love to see their grown ups joining in and it only encourages them more.
My personal love for gymnastics started when my parents took me to local gymnastics classes at the age of 4. I continued through the program to become a competitive gymnast and achieved British titles. I have been inspired by some amazing coaches along the way and it was natural for me to move in to the coaching side of the sport. I hope my passion for gymnastics and love of working with children will encourage your child to engage in a sport that has so much to offer, many transferable skills whilst laying the foundations of fitness and health as being normal and fun!
